 SECOND GRADE CLASS

Welcome to Second Grade.  We are off to a great start.  I am  very proud of your children for their hard work.  They are adjusting very well and are learning the classroom routines at a fast rate. On August 16, 2010 we started our homework (CPR).  All work will be placed in this folder and returned in this folder.  Please let your child complete their homework on their own.  Then check their work.  If they have trouble with their work help them to correct it and sign the page.  Stickers  will be given for completed work that has been signed.  Afterschool teachers may sign the work.  However please be sure to check over the work to see what your child is doing.  Your child will have CPR every night except Friday night.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

• Please send a note if you are changing the way your child is getting home.  If your child is signed up for afterschool they will be sent unless you write a note or call the office.
• Please send money in an envelope with your child's name and what the money is to be spent for.  Unless I know what your want done with the money I have to guess.  Often your child is unsure.
• This year students must have 75 AR points to go on the year end field trip.  Please read AR books with your child for the first few weeks.  Ask them questions about what they are reading.  This will help them when they are taking a test on the book.
