Meet Kellie Boggs, one of our fine nurses that takes care of children and sometimes faculty and staff members.  She is always helpful and willing to help as needed.  A question many people ask is, what procedure must be followed so the school may administer a perscription medication to their child during the school year?  In answer to this question is the medication administration policy of the McNairy County School System requires that medications be administered only when the student's health requires that they be given during school hours.  Medications administered at school must be in the original container with pharmacy label attached and administered under the supervision of the school nurse, school principal, or his/her designee.  Written authorization from the students's parent/guardian and prescribing doctor is required, and is for the current school year only.  A Prescription Medication Form may be found on this website under "Document Manager".

This page will allow parents to retrieve information and forms without dependence upon the school office. We will continually add forms that you can download at your convenience.

Mrs. Charlotte Mitchell is another nurse that can be seen at Bethel.  She willingly works with the staff and the children as the needs prevail themselves.

People sometimes want to know what procedure must be followed to allow the school to administer non prescription medications to their children during the school day?

A nonprescription medication form may be found in the "Document Manager" which is found below.  Please complete this form and submit it with the medication.  All medication must be in the original container and must be unopened.

Mrs. Shelva Moore is our school health coordinator.  She attended our Harvest Festival and set up a booth which focused on good health.
