So much has been said about the 2012-2013 Art Club that I decided a picture of the members was needed.  The front row from left to right are:  Jacob Hysmith, Meriah Walk, Kaylee Lott, and Bailey Turner.  The back row from left to right are:  Ms. Anita Graves, Brittany Nixon, Sydney Perrigo, Jamie Johnson, Dustin Ellsworth, Josiah Sanders, and Caleb McClain.

The club members have an assignment to be completed by October 12, 2012.

The club is currently creating wind socks for the holiday which is upon us.  Hope they turn out spooktacular.

COMPLETED!

The Art Club is helping with Christmas ornaments as a possible fund raiser.  We are limited with our time but are doing our best with this activity.

Five of the members have started an ornament for the "Stop Litter" contest promoting recycling.  Each member will have an ornament which will be placed on the tree at the courthouse in Selmer.  6th graders in Ms. Jennifer's class made two ornaments each.  The children in Ms. Terri's 1st grade each made an ornament.  The Art Club members made an ornament and three students made two.  We even made extra stars for the tree.  Caleb McClain won honorable mention.  He received $10.00 for his effort.

In addition to the Christmas Ornament Contest the club is also working on an original heart design.  This is due Nov. 25, 2012.

We have 1,210 drawings for the Independent Appeal Contest.  The school with the most drawings, letters to Santa, and essays will receive $150.00 for the school's art department.  WE HAVE WORKED HARD!  I am so pleased with the students of Bethel Springs Elementary.
